the arboretum with Tantie

When Tantie comes to town we try to fill up everyday with something. One of our days went to the Dallas Arboretum and met Lisa, her brother and little Matthew. The weather could not have been more perfect. We ate lunch outside and took pictures with the pumpkins. What a beautiful day.

Yes 30!!!

Yes I am 30! I know. You can't stop it and you can't slow it down. Thats ok. I don't want to. I LOVE my life. 30 is the best thing that ever happened to me. I had a great day.  I met friends at chick-fil-a for breakfast and went to Olive Garden with my family that night.
Corrie came into town that Friday, which was the best present ever. Saturday all of my good girlfriends went to "The Melting Pot" where we had so much fun chatting ffffooorrreeevvveeerrr. Literally we were there for 4 hours. Thank you to everyone that came and made me feel so special. I am so blessed to have all of my wonderful friends!!

Making our profile

We took at least a month, if not longer to complete our profile for our adoption. This was one of the most stressful things we have done so far. Putting your whole life on a book of 20 pages, no easy. Glad we finished this process. We also have an online profile. This was one of the pictures taken for our
 online profile.

Trunk or Treat at Cornerstone

We went to Trunk or Treat at Cornerstone Baptist for the first time. We wanted to meet the pastor and people of the church. Little did we know that God would lead us to this church.
Faith LOVES tinker-bell, so I thought it was appropriate for her to dress up like a fairy.
She was the cutest. We enjoyed getting to take her around and picking up candy. Meme and Popples came to see how cute she was as well!!

Catch up

She's so big...
so fast...
she's making sentences
and actually does what I tell
her to do. About a month ago
for the first time, I asked her to get me
a bottle of water and she ran all the way from the
stage to the back of the church and got it for me.
Now I know she is ready to be a big sister
She sings songs and will tell ALL while
swinging on her swing.
She prays for her friends and
tells me her Scriptures when she wants.
Loves to have tea parties and dress her
daddy up.
She loves to be tickled and says,
"more tickle"
Loves chocolate milk in her Tinkerbell cup.
Loves "Tinkerbell music" and dances like a
princess. Wants me to dance with her too.
Instead of saying "yes mam" it's "Musa"? ...I know.
Loves to help herself to the pantry and always wants
a pop-sicle after her nap.
Doesn't ever want to smile for the camera, but at least I got her to look up. :)
I am so lucky to be able to know ALL about my girl.

HOT SUMMER

This summer has been hotter than ever. It has been in the 100's and feels like it's never going to end. Despite the heat, this little girl still loves to be outside. She has recently discovered the big girl swing. She wants so badly to swing herself, but hates to have her feet touch the ground. Oh what to do at the age of 2?

Baby Kaden

Baby Kaden was born on July 27. We are so happy for Mark and Jenn and their new blessing. He is so precious and tiny. I can't wait to see that little boy grow into a man of God like his daddy.

San Antonio

San Antonio was so much fun! Mimi and Popples were so giving on this trip. Thank you! Jesse had to go to a choir conference but that didn't stop the rest of us from having fun. We ate a wonderful breakfast
and went to the Zoo. We rode the train and saw hippos up close in the"Africa Wild" part of the San Antonio Zoo. So cool! That was everyone's favorite part; it was air conditioned and very spacious.  We also saw the Dallas Cowboys practice at the Alamo-Dome. My dad had actually never done that before, if you can believe it. We also went to Lulu's. This was a restaurant with gigantic chicken fried steak and cinnamon rolls. So good, but way to much food for me at least. On the last day we went to Sea World. I really didn't remember how fun that place was. The last time I went was in 6th grade. We saw every show we could see. I loved them all!  Faith was a little small for it but I think she still enjoyed herself.
